Iran’s national football team has criticized FIFA over its treatment during the tournament after being instructed to leave the United States immediately following a 2–2 draw with New Zealand.

Head coach Amir Ghalenoei said the squad was not given adequate recovery time in Los Angeles and was required to return to its base in Tijuana shortly after the match.
