Bono, Bush, and the end of AIDS: The Story of PEPFAR

Sign our petition to demand Congress reauthorize PEPFAR: https://go.one.org/3qfybd2

20 years ago, President George W. Bush signed into law the most impactful global health initiative in history. But it took years of effort from celebrities like Bono, Democrats and Republicans, and activists all over the world to make that happen.

PEPFAR (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) ensured people across Africa had access to antiretroviral drugs, at a time when only 50,000 people of the nearly 30 million infected with HIV had access to treatment.

It's made an incredible impact on the continent, but our fight to end HIV/AIDS is still far from over. This year, Congress will need to reauthorize PEPFAR so it can continue its lifesaving work and ensure that we end HIV/AIDS for good.

To help make sure that happens sign our petition to demand Congress do the right thing: https://go.one.org/3qfybd2
