LESHABANE CLAIMS GININDA WANTED HIM TO CHANGE STATEMENT | SENZO MEYIWA TRIAL

The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial took another explosive turn after General Leshabane claimed in court that Brigadier Gininda allegedly wanted him to change parts of his statement to corroborate Constable Zungu.

During dramatic proceedings in the Pretoria High Court, Leshabane testified that he refused to alter his version because he feared it would amount to defeating the ends of justice.

In one of the most explosive moments, Leshabane stated that if he changed his statement, people would later read in newspapers that “a former general was arrested by a brigadier.”

The General also claimed that information involving Gwabini had already been discussed in meetings involving Brigadier Gininda, Advocate Baloi, and other officials before Zungu testified in court.

Proceedings became increasingly tense as the court questioned whether investigators already knew that some information attributed to Zungu allegedly came from Gwabini.
