How not to settle for "good enough" | Jan De Jong | TEDxZagreb
Through his interesting life story that included moving from the Netherlands to Croatia when he was just 22, starting and managing several businesses and starting family here in Croatia, Jan is a constant inspiration how to always aim for more. In his TEDxZagreb talk, he will provide valuable advice on how to never settle for just good enough! Jan de Jong moved from the Netherlands to Croatia in 2006 at age 22, where he founded his first business. With his roots in the Netherlands, but his heart and future in Croatia – Jan is a strong believer that positive change in Croatia will not come from politics but will come from its entrepreneurs – and he is a proud member of that exciting community.
Some people would say he is stubborn. If you ask him, he would say that he is persistent. He believes that what separates successful individuals from the rest is that those that are successful did not quit when times got tough. He chooses to try new things and to walk unpaved roads to new terrains – and that in a country that was once a foreign land to him.
The skill he values the most in people and companies is their ability to rapidly adapt to new circumstances. A skill that comes in handy in a year where lots of things have changed for our society when facing a global pandemic. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
