Today was the NFL deadline for teams to trim their rosters to their initial 53-man roster and the Steelers made a few surprising cuts, including nickel CB Beanie Bishop. This comes after he played zero snaps in the last preseason game and the CB room saw a lot of new faces this past offseason. Steelers releasing Beanie Bishop is upsetting but the reality is he had no role outside of good depth. The Steelers initial 53-man roster is not the physical roster going into week 1 so the Steelers will continue to make moves throughout the week to fill spots.
