Thomas Keating's Homily at Basil Pennington's Funeral

This is the audio of the homily by Fr. Thomas Keating on June 10, 2005 at the funeral of Fr. Basil Pennington, who was a Trappist monk and spiritual teacher, speaker, and author of more than 60 books including "Centering Prayer: Renewing an Ancient Christian Prayer Form."

Fr. Pennington, along with Fr. Keating and Fr. William Meninger, began the Centering Prayer movement in the 1970’s to renew the Christian tradition of contemplation. Together they discuss this in the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1VFKlpbol8.
