This historic hotel sign was bought for $14K

When a Calgary restorer recently discovered a long-missing sign of the National Hotel in a backyard in Inglewood, he knew he had something special. Once he cleaned it up and listed it for sale, local social media groups were abuzz, reminiscing about the halcyon days of a hotel that had witnessed both good and bad times. We took a closer look at some of the memories made during the more than a century since this Calgary landmark first opened.
