A Paradise of Words - Rabia Kapoor | An Ode to Spoken Fest
We asked Rabia Kapoor, one of Kommune’s favourites on why she writes and about all the words she loves "Spoken". Her piece made us giggle, sigh, touch and tease the sunshine, thanks to her beautiful words. This is an Ode to Spoken Fest.
“When I'd just discovered that I liked writing, I'd write weird pieces that didn't really make any sense, pieces that had one word following another, words that I liked the sound and texture of. It's always been very exciting to me, the way you can put two, seemingly harmless, unrelated words together, and suddenly change and explode an image in your head. It became something I compulsively wanted to share with people: the changing images, the power they have, and the power we have to manipulate them” - Rabia Kapoor
Come on by to lie on the grass with us, as all our favourite words come home on Jan 12&13th, 2019 at JioGarden, Mumbai. Let’s build a paradise of words together - Spoken Fest 2019.
