Activist Laidlaw Peringanda’s fight to honour the graves of his ancestors has been met with death threats and denial as he advocates against the desecration of the mass graves of his descendants - the Ovaherero and Namas that were prisoners of war in the genocide perpetrated by Germany between 1904-1908. PhD candidate Frowin Becker of Namibian-German descent shares his reasons for supporting Laidlaw's cause and gives some insight on how some Germans - mostly born and living in Namibia, percieve this as a threat.
