The Mandalorian Season 2 is over and the Book of Boba Fett drops December 2021 on Disney+ with the Mandalorian Season 3 coming out in 2022, according to Lucasfilm, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau! The Bad Batch is released on Star Wars Day - May 4th 2021!

In this Star Wars news update, we take a look at the upcoming live-action Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ show The Book of Boba Fett which features Temuera Morrison reprising his role as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand (who will also appear in the Bad Batch) as they take on the Bounty Hunter underworld of Tatooine after Jabba the Hutt and Bib Fortuna. We talk about whether we could see Han Solo, Q'ira and the legacy Darth Maul left behind with Crimson Dawn which we saw in Solo: A Star Wars Story. We also discuss a new character leak for a certain 'Hammerhead' which could be referring to an Ithorian we saw in A New Hope at the Mos Eisley Cantina when Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi walked in.

Recently I did a video full of speculation that Daniel Logan might return as young Boba Fett for flashbacks in the The Book of Boba Fett. Daniel Logan has been teasing for a long time that he might return to Star Wars after his appearance in Attack of the Clones as the son of Jango Fett and in The Clone Wars. Ultimately, we could see him face off against Cad Bane - a deleted Clone Wars scene. The Book of Boba Fett is set to feature bounty hunters that we saw in the Empire Strikes Back.

We also discuss Fennec Shand and how the Bounty Hunter's Guild could feature in the upcoming Clone Wars spin-off series.

We even know that the Book of Boba Fett is getting a prequel in the form of a comic miniseries - Charles Soule is releasing comics based on Boba Fett between the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It is called War of the Bounty Hunters and will be similar to Shadows of the Empire which will give backstory to the series which is also a Mandalorian Spin-off and part of Dave Filoni's Mando-verse. Other than Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, we can expect the likes of Bib Fortuna, Zuckuss, IG-88, 4-LOM, Dengar and Bossk, Rotta the Hutt from the Clone Wars, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Jodo Kast, Cobb Vanth, Hondo Ohnaka, Qi'ra and Cad Bane.

In the Mandalorian Season 2 finale (Season 2 Chapter 16 of the live-action Star Wars, Lucasfilm and Disney+ show), Boba took his place at the palace we saw in Return of the Jedi.

Currently, Star Wars are feeling the pressure from fans who are vocal about their views after Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm cancelled Gina Carano who formerly played Cara Dune. They recently cancelled the Mandalorian novel and the Mandalorian Visual Guide. While they said it was for scheduling reasons, it could be something more.

In the meantime, we have three projects this year that were announced in December at Disney Investor Day 2020.
