There have been wild scenes in a South African school rugby match, with a player carried 20m by his opponent in a tackle.

The under-19s match between schools Goudveld High and Welkom Gimnasium, saw the Goudveld halfback picked up and carried by the Welkom tackler.

The bizarre moment seemed to shock the Goudveld halfback who didn't quite know what to do with the ball in hand.
