Yellowstone National Park - Pebble Creek-Bliss Pass-Slough Creek | 3-day Backpacking Full

This is the full length trip report with natural sounds and on-trail commentary from a 3-day backpacking adventure that Joey and I took from Pebble Creek to Slough Creek in August 2020. We covered ~24 miles in Yellowstone National Park’s Northern Range. This trip was the second leg of a 2-part, 7-day-total Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem excursion. Notable sights included the Absarokas, Pebble Creek, Bliss Pass, Slough Creek, a bull elk in camp, a swimming porcupine and more.

Our original plan was for this to be the latter section of a continuous 7-day route from Pelican Valley up through Lamar Valley. A carcass in Pelican Valley forced a re-route of the beginning of our trip into the Shoshone National Forest.
