Oven won't self-clean? In this episode of Repair & Replace, Vance shows how to troubleshoot an electric oven that won't initiate self-cleaning. When an oven self-cleans it heats up to 1000°F which burns off the food and grease residue. The door is locked during every self-cleaning cycle. If the door position switch, door lock switch, or the door lock motor fails then the oven won't self-clean. This video shows how to test each switch and the motor with a multimeter.
