In October 2017, troops from the Light Reaction Regiment and First Scout Ranger Regiment, both of which constituted the Philippines Special Forces, launched an operation against two high-value targets in the city of Marawi.

Noong Oktubre 2017, ang mga tropa mula sa Light Reaction Regiment at First Scout Ranger Regiment, na parehong itinatag ng Philippines Special Forces, ay naglunsad ng operasyon laban sa dalawang target na may mataas na halaga sa lungsod ng Marawi.
