Batwa People Of Uganda - Sing and Dance

Batwa, or the forest people are a minority group found in South-Western Uganda. They live on the edge of #bwindiimpentrableforest which had been their home for centuries going back until they were evicted. They have strong ties to the forest ecosystem and even now make sure their homes are on the edge of the forest. They are adapting to the life outside the forest but they are still marginalised. Living in the remote areas makes access to education particularly difficult. They also live on semi-permanent dwellings exposing them to the elements.
We got to visit a group Kisoro district on the edge of Bwindi courtesy of Uganda Tourism Board and Pearl Of Africa Tourism Expo.
You can make a cultural tour there and discover their unique way of life and couple it with some gorilla tracking.
