I Escaped on my 8th Attempt. My Story of an Abusive Relationship.

After 1.5 years I am open about the abusive relationship I was in for three years. It is very personal, it is very private and it is very painful. And yet, if we own anything, it's our experiences and we all can choose what to do with them.

I take this whole process - from abuse to escape to recollections - as a lesson that life gave me without asking if I wanted it. For the last two months, I studied what and why really happened. I feel like I finally passed the exam. And now I am letting this information live its own life.

This video was not the easy one to make... but even if it only helped one person - it'd still be worth it.

Sending you peace and love.
Dei

P.S. I know in the whole video I am talking about the abused women. However, even if the majority of victims are women, there are a lot of men or LGBT people who suffer from the same. Anyone can become victims of abuse. Anyone.

P.P.S. If you want to share your story, but want to do it anonymously, send me a DM to my Instagram.

---WORLDWIDE: contact the police. If you cannot / are too afraid to talk, they will start giving you questions in order to gather all the information and understand your situation. They might ask you to cough or give another type of sign as a 'yes' or 'no'. Not necessarily they will go and arrest your abuser as it might be dangerous for you, but they will definitely give you some advice best suited for your situation, direct you to the local women/women with children centres who will give you all possible help. These centres will probably help you to make an escape plan too. Trust them.
