Suspicious Google Searches from D.C. and Israel Precede Charlie Kirk Assassination, Data Shows

New analysis of Google Trends data has uncovered a pattern of highly specific searches originating from Washington, D.C., and Israel in the weeks and months before the September 10, 2025, assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The queries targeted key figures, locations, and details central to the killing, fueling demands for a federal probe into potential foreknowledge or orchestration.
Internet researchers, including independent investigator Baron Coleman, compiled the data from public Google Trends archives before portions were reportedly scrubbed. The searches, peaking between April and August 2025, align with no public announcements of Kirk’s event until late August. Official investigators have named 28-year-old Tyler James Robinson as the lone gunman, who allegedly fired from the Losi Center rooftop before fleeing. Robinson, arrested days later, faces federal murder charges. Authorities maintain the attack stemmed from personal grievances over Kirk’s anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, citing Robinson’s texts: “I had enough of his hatred.”
Yet the pre-event searches contradict the lone-wolf narrative:
• Tyler James Robinson, the accused shooter: Queried August 18, 2025 (three weeks prior) from an unspecified location; July 21, 2025, from D.C.; and earlier spikes in Israel. No prior public link to Kirk existed.
• Losi Center, the sniper perch at Utah Valley University: Multiple hits from Israel on July 2, 7, 9, and 29, 2025—over two months before the shooting.
• Timpanogos Regional Hospital, where Kirk was pronounced dead: July 16, 2025, from D.C.; additional probes from Israel in July.
• Surgeons at the hospital—Drs. Lee Patterson, Richard Rasmussen, Brian Gill, and William Pew: Targeted from Israel between July 14–30, 2025.
• Kathryn N. Nester, Robinson’s lead defense attorney: April 21 and May 27, 2025, from Israel and D.C., respectively—months before charges.
• Judges and officials: Tony F. Graf (assigned to the case) searched June 13 and 25, 2025, from D.C. and Israel; Dedra Amaro, Utah’s medical examiner, July 30 from Israel.
• Other anomalies: “Lance Twigs” (Robinson’s alleged roommate) from D.C. in January and late 2023, predating any known Kirk connection; “Hunter Kak” (event questioner) from Israel August 3; “Mikey McCoy” (Kirk’s chief of staff) July 14 from Israel.
Statistical improbability compounds the red flags. Kacee Allen, a data analyst, calculated the odds of these D.C. spikes for “Lance Twigs” and Robinson at less than 1 in 1 billion—far beyond random chance.
“You don’t search a killer’s name, his perch, his escape route, the hospital, and the docs treating the victim unless you know the script,” Coleman stated in a YouTube breakdown viewed over 500,000 times. “This isn’t coincidence; it’s reconnaissance.”
X users amplified the findings, with posts from @BasedSamParker and @DrJPolk labeling it a “smoking gun” for foreign involvement. One thread by @MAGABULLYUSA mapped over 30 queries, clustering around July 20. Netanyahu’s office denied Israeli ties on September 22, calling claims “baseless far-right fiction.”  The FBI dismissed the data as “manipulable and unreliable” in a September 18 statement, but has not addressed scrubbing allegations. 
Kirk’s death—shot mid-speech to 1,200 students—sparked nationwide unrest, including 145 firings of critics and a surge in “free speech” searches post-killing.   Widow Erika Kirk, in a BBC address, vowed: “We will expose the evildoers.” 
Lawmakers, including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), called for subpoenas of Google records. “If D.C. and foreign actors scouted this hit, heads roll,” Gaetz posted October 21. The trends data, preserved in screenshots and archives, demands answers: Who searched? Why? And who pulled the trigger?
