For an inclusive and antivalidist sexuality • Forum FIFDH 2024 • VO FR-EN-POR

Ensuring access to fulfilling sexuality is crucial, especially for people with disabilities, who are often stereotyped as asexual. In a validist society, how can we guarantee equitable sexual health and education?

Access to fulfilling sexuality is important for everyone. For people with disabilities, the issue is all the more crucial given that society often assigns them to lives that are assumed to be asexual. How can we ensure equitable access to quality sexual health and education? This requires demystifying norms, stereotypes and prejudices. It is therefore imperative to listen directly to the people concerned, placing their voices and experiences at the heart of policy and service development, in order to reflect their realities in an authentic and meaningful way.

Co-presented with the Centre Maurice Chalumeau en sciences des sexualités de l’Université de Genève and organized with the support of Pro Victimis Foundation
