Himalayan Hymns Episode 5:
This vlog is first part of Day 5 of our Ladakh Ride.
We visited Kargil LOC Viewpoint by taxi in the early morning of 27 Sep 2017. LOC View point is around 10 Kms from Hotel Zozila Residency of Kargil.

This place offers some beautiful huge mountain views along with the POK border on the other side. Our taxi driver pointed out at some of the hidden army bunkers along the mountain range. It is advisable to carry zoom camera lens or Binoculars along with to enjoy the place to fullest.
After returning to Zozila recidency from LOC View point we got ready for our day ride towards Leh. Along the blissful curvy roads of Namikala Pass, we visited highest point on Leh Srinagar highway - Fotula pass. Fotula pass is treat to be in and offers infinite view of mountains.
Fotula Pass is 90 Kms from Kargil town. All along the way road is great condition. Thanks to BRO (Border Road Organization) for constructing and maintaining roads at such difficult terrains.
After visiting Fotu La we proceeded towards Lamayuru for Lunch break. Due to limitation of time we couldnt visit Lamayuru monasteries. We had lunch at Hotel Lamayuru and were excited to visit upcoming places. ie. Moonland and Magnetic Hills before reaching Leh, which will be covered in next episode of Himalayan Hymns.
