Big Beautiful Colombian Peacock Bass

We jumped through all the Covid hoops and successfully made our way four hours upriver out of Puerto Inirida to Las Lagunas. There were plenty of big peacocks but they were in full breeding mode and most weren't willing to play. The upside was the coloration on the ones we did get was spectacular. Not that it wasn't a good trip, nineteen fish over 15 and up to 22 pounds were landed among eight anglers with several bigger ones escaping, plus some payara. Next time...
