Video 01 - Project Setup & Movement - Rapid FPS Prototype - C++ for Unreal

In this session, we are kicking off our Rapid FPS Prototype by setting up our Unreal Engine project. We will utilize a hybrid C++/Blueprint workflow to establish the foundation of our player character. I'll walk you through cloning the template project via GitHub Desktop, generating Visual Studio project files, and setting up the Enhanced Input system (IMC and IA). By the end of this video, you will have connected C++ input logic to your Blueprint child character and verified your inputs using UE_LOG console outputs.

Part of a series focusing on how to program games in C++ for Unreal.

Developed for my Game Programming class, these videos serve to provide a basic understanding of working within the Unreal Engine in order to introduce more advanced techniques later on.
