It's a tradition in the bayou parishes after Easter and before the May shrimping season that the community's priest/pastor bless the boats for a great year of catchin'! With rising cost of fuel, foreign seafood imports and hurricanes, the event has gotten smaller over the years but is still a sight to see from the bayouside!
