Migration: ‘It’s not about compassion; the first duty of any government to protect its own people’
Former Conservative MP Stewart Jackson has called for a “tough, fair approach” to immigration after thousands of migrants crossed the English Channel this year.
Speaking with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, he accused Labour of “politically correct virtue signalling” without offering a “pragmatic or practical” solution.
“It’s nothing to do with compassion; it’s about a first duty of any government, which is to protect its own people.”
