Protesters condemn Benjamin Netanyahu as Israeli Prime Minister heads to US to meet Donald Trump

Protestors rallied against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday ahead of his visit to the United States.

They carried Israeli flags and signs calling for an end to the war and for Netanyahu’s replacement. One protestor appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump, who is scheduled to meet Netanyahu at the White House, to help secure the release of hostages.

"I ask you President Trump, bring our brothers and sisters home because it's too much time. It's almost two years," said Inbal Hofman.

Ahead of his departure, Mr Netanyahu said: "I am now going with my wife to the UN General Assembly and to Washington. At the UN General Assembly I will speak our truth - the citizens of Israel, the truth of the IDF soldiers, of our country. I will denounce those leaders who, instead of denouncing the murderers, the rapists, the child burners, want to give them a state in the heart of the land of Israel. It will not happen."
