LIVE: Modi lands in Israel as first Indian PM to visit the country

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to land at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday, July 4, for his state visit to Israel, becoming the first Indian PM to visit the Jewish state in 70 years.

During his three-day visit, Modi will meet his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin. Co-operation and defence issues are set to be on top of the meeting’s agenda, with both countries set to engage in a series of military and cyber security co-operation deals.
