How to Start a Social Enterprise - Greg Overholt at TEDxYouth@Toronto

Greg Overholt is confident that Social Enterprises can tackle many of the challenges today's world by leveraging commercial principles to maximize social impacts. In his talk, he presented 6 tangible steps on how to start and grow your social enterprise by sharing his story of starting his organization.

Greg Overholt is the founder and executive director of the national student-led social venture Students Offering Support. SOS is a student organization based in 30 universities across North America where volunteer leaders hold group review session before exams, raising money for development projects in rural Latin America, built by volunteers on two week outreach trips. Since its inception in 2004, 3000 SOS volunteers have helped 25,000 students prepare for exams, raising $1,400,000 for education based development projects.
