Kindness in Community Fund: Meet Youth Opportunities

Youth Opportunities is a Kindness in Community Fund grantee whose mission is to create opportunities for young people to develop lifelong skills, habits, and confidence to thrive. 

Each year, through the delivery of their evidence-based personal leadership and wellbeing programs, Youth Opportunities equip thousands of young people across Australia with the skills to overcome adversity, address mental health challenges, build resilience and optimism, and prepare for their future, while also providing access to opportunities which reduce barriers to achieving their potential. 

“With young people at the heart of everything we do, our programs are designed to empower the individual, and focus on developing long-term happiness, setting and achieving goals, increasing motivation, developing positive communication, enhancing confidence and improving relationships. As a result, young people become more self-reliant, confident and motivated to achieve, ensuring they don’t just cope, they thrive. Support from the Kindness in Community Fund will enable Youth Opportunities to build the capacity and skills of educators across Australia to deliver personal leadership and wellbeing programs to address the needs of their school and community.”
