Usually, with hard gel. l need a dehydrator, a primer, or a bonder for application, and then you base gels, colors, and clear gel application brushes; with soft gel systems, the same is true, but there is no need to add dehydrator, primer, or bonder prior to application.

With that being said, in either case, you can do all of your services using hard gel only, or you can be like me and do all of your services (from gel manicures to sculpted gel extensions) using soft gel only.
