Dutch kite surf history.

Short special on kite flying, kitesurfing and powerkites. Created by the Dutch commercial TV channel SBS6 in the 1990s. The pioneers used the Wipiki kites for easy water launches and safe flying.

Wipika is a historic kitesurfing brand, founded by brothers Bruno and Dominique Legaignoux in the late 1990s. It was known for inventing the C-shaped 4-line kite and its patented safety bridle system. Although the brand and patent eventually disappeared, Wipika played a significant role in the development of modern kitesurfing by introducing safer and better-performing kites, such as the Hydro series.
