Solo backpacking Europe - Summer 2017

My favorite part of travel has never been the famous buildings or food or sights - it’s the people I meet along the way. In June 2017, I left for Europe with virtually no friends on the entire continent. Three months later, I came home having made friends from all over the world. The more I live the more I believe relationships are the substance of life. Whether it’s a lifelong friendship, a parent and child, a pair of lovers, or a serendipitous friendship just for the day in Rome. Genuine kindness shared between two people is the very best part of this life. This planet is a beautiful place, with every corner chock-full of good people. I am beyond thankful to be able to meet them - one person at a time.
