The Mapex Armory has really impressed me with it's pro-level features at an accessible price point. I think these drums come very well equipped, with excellent sounding wood shells with solid hardware as well as a superb lacquer finish.

This kit is truly a complete workhorse. I’ve had it set up in my studio for several weeks and I love sitting behind it and playing it. It feels, looks, and sounds like a premium drum set.

In this review, I'll explore everything this kit has to offer including its performance, build quality, sounds, and value for money.

I've replaced the stock batter heads with Evans HD Dry tom heads to see how good I can get these drums sounding, and I think they sound incredible on these birch and maple shells.

Everything’s recorded with my Earthworks DK7 drum mic kit, straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface, with just a bit of light EQ and compression.
