The Flogging Process of Jesus Christ - The History and Why it Matters - #14

The Process of the flogging of Jesus Christ and others was a process designed to bring the maximum amount of pain, suffering and death. The Romans were notorious against their enemies and crucifixion was for the worst of the worst.

The historical process began with the positioning of the victim to cause the greatest amount of pain, and then scourging them with the cat-o-nine tails to rip open the flesh.

Flogging was actually referred to as the Pre-Death as some did not survive the flogging processes. Historians speak of the horrors.

There is a certain major world religion that has said that Jesus was not crucified but someone took his place, commonly known as the Substitution Theory. It is posited that it could have been Judas, Simon or a small boy.

But how is this possible? Who could look like or imitate someone who was flogged? And when could it have happened? We will look at this more in a later video, but one first needs to understand the severity of the flogging process.
