An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Srinagar, carrying over 220 passengers, encountered a sudden hailstorm on late Wednesday. The pilot reportedly requested permission from Lahore Air Traffic Control to enter Pakistani airspace to avoid turbulence, but the request was denied. The aircraft declared an emergency and landed safely in Srinagar, though it sustained damage to its nose cone. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is investigating the incident.
