Israel feeling ‘significantly constrained’ following Joe Biden’s high-stake trip
Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Michael Doran says the Israelis are feeling “significantly constrained” following Joe Biden’s visit to Israel.
Mr Doran’s remarks come after US President Joe Biden met with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel.
“Under the surface, there was something else going on which some of the Israelis have started to notice as well,” Mr Doran told Sky News host James Morrow.
“They’re calling it a bear hug; he’s gripping them very tight and saying that it’s all about love but the Israelis are feeling significantly constrained.
“Biden doesn’t want them to upset his Iran policy, he doesn’t want the war to expand into Lebanon, doesn’t want them to go to far in Gaza so he’s got them kind of on a tight leash.”
