The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 BS6 price has been increased by Rs 2,503. It now costs Rs 1,05,901 (ex-showroom Delhi). Head here to know more details about the price hike. The BS6-compliant version of the bike was launched in April 2020. Its launch price was Rs 1,03,398 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 9,203 more than its BS4 predecessor. The substantial price hike gets you a more powerful fuel-injected motor. Other than that the BS6 motorcycle remains mechanically and cosmetically unchanged.

The new greener 160.3cc air and oil-cooled motor now gets fuel-injection and delivers 17.2PS at 9,000rpm and 14.6Nm at 7250rpm. For reference, the BS4 Pulsar NS160 made 15.5PS at 8500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6500rpm. Power is up by 1.7PS while torque output remains the same. The new motor, however, makes peak power and torque at a higher rpm than before. The updated motorcycle still gets a 5-speed gearbox.

The Pulsar NS160 BS6 gets the same perimeter frame as before. Suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks and an adjustable monoshock. Its braking setup consists of a single 260mm petal disc upfront and a 230mm disc at the rear. It gets single-channel ABS. The bike’s 17-inch alloys come shod with 90/90-section front and 120/80-section rear tyres.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 competes with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer BS6, Yamaha FZ-S V3, Honda CB Hornet 160R and the soon to be launched Hero Xtreme 160R BS6. But as far as the pricing is concerned, it will also compete against the Apache 180 and the Pulsar 180F Neon.
