"Tarzan the Ape Man" was Johnny Weissmuller's first MGM film as Tarzan. It was directed by W S Van Dyke in 1932 and also starred Maureen O'Sullivan as Jane Parker; Neil Hamilton as Harry Holt; C Aubrey Smith as James Parker; and Emma the chimp as Cheeta.
