The Manta Ray Anterior Cervical Plate was designed by Theken Spine and practicing surgeons with the goal of delivering a streamlined system. Although the Manta Ray will accommodate the surgeon who prefers to awl, drill and tap, with or without the use of guides, the system can also be used in a streamlined fashion for the surgeon who prefers to simply awl and insert
screws without the remaining steps. Regardless of the surgical technique, Manta Ray’s integral locking mechanism eliminates the need for additional parts, i.e. fasteners, rings, additional screws, etc. and provides visual confirmation that screws are locked secure and will remain in place.
