This is how I received my customers unit. Please pack carefully. UPS rejected his damage claim

A unit shipped to me that I received damaged because he did not adhere to my advice on how to pack his unit. His claim was rejected/denied. Here is the copy and paste I send to every customer.

"Be sure to pack it well. UPS recommends a minimum of 3 inches of packing from the outer part of the item to the inside of the box in all directions (top, bottom, front, back and both sides) UPS will deny any insurance claim without at least a minimum of 3 inches of packing IN ALL DIRECTIONS.

I will ship the unit back in the original box with the original packing you shipped it in (I may add more if I think it is under packed) I AM NOT RESPONSABLE FOR SHIPPING DAMAGE BACK TO YOU WITH YOUR ORIGINAL PACKING IN YOUR BOX IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER!"

I have, on multiple occasions repacked the customers unit in a larger box with added packing, I always insure return shipping back to the customer. I have never had a damage claim on return shipping to my customer.
