GPD Officer Involved In Crash With Motorcycle

LOCATION: Litchfield Road & Missouri Avenue
CITY: Glendale
DETAILS: A Glendale Police officer was involved in a traffic collision with a motorcycle around 12:30 Saturday morning.
Several agencies including Goodyear Fire, Maricopa County Sheriff, Maricopa Ambulance, and Glendale Police responded to the accident.
The accident occurred when a sedan driven by a uniformed Glendale Police officer collided with a motorcyclist in the intersection of Litchfield Road & Bethany Home Road.
The motorcyclist was ejected off of the bike onto the road during the collision.
Firefighter and EMTs arrived and evaluated the rider and transported them in unknown condition to a local area hospital.
The officer was also evaluated, but refused transport to the hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
