In this video, we will be covering one of the popular questions of our students. What to do on your first day at work as an SDET? Software Developer Engineer in Test and Cyber Security.

- Lay Out Your Outfit
- Set Your Alarm and Plan Your Commute
- Prepare Some Small Talk Topics
- Be ready to work or not to work
- Don't be shy
- Learn the professional rules (specifical emails)
- Put your cell phone on silent
- Being introduced to the team
- Remember the names
- Accept that lunch invitation or Not to
- Find out who you'll be working with the most
- If you have another tester it will be beneficial
- Do not be afraid of asking questions / think a bit
- You can ask anything about the application
- You can ask workflow documentation
- Each company has somewhere to keep documentations
- You will need to spend some time to read
- Play around with the application
- If you can get some information before you start it will be helpful
- During the two weeks, time frame make sure to review
- You will probably work with Jenkins so make sure you review before start
- Review git / maven / shell / terminal commands
- Nobody is guarding you, you can use your notes
- Make sure if something wrong talks to your lead or managers
- Getting accesses, each company has its own ways
- Expect not to use some tools that we have not learned
- You can get questions to be ready and sound natural and stick to the same story
- Observe as much as you can
