Released on the 1963 album, "The Greatest Hits Of The Golden Groups". Originally recorded by the Penguins (their version charted at #1 Billboard R&B in 1955). Competing versions by Gloria Mann and the Crew-Cuts charted at #18 Billboard Pop and #3 Pop (#4 UK) in 1955, respectively. Two other versions by Les Baxter and the Bombers (with Pat Laird) and Pat O'Day did not fare as well. Later charting remakes: #57 Billboard Hot 100 for Johnny Tillotson in 1960, #42 Hot 100 (#7 Adult Contemporary) for the Vogues in 1969, #81 R&B by Richard Dimples Fields in 1981 and #21 Hot 100 (#3 R&B) by New Edition in 1986.
