Alvvays - Plimsoll Punks

DescriptionThe second album of this Canadian band Alvvays, "Antisocialites", is more focused than their self-titled debut album which was also good. This album, however, takes their music into another level. "In Undertow" is a very good opening song but my favorite songs are "Dreams Tonight", "Lollipop (Ode to Jim), "Your Type", and "Already Gone".

The album is only about 33 minutes long, so it captures the music in a very short period which makes it even better. Molly Rankin's vocals can be heard much better with this album. Their debut album didn't show her skills as well as this one, though they were there but a little bit under the instruments.

They are a very good band and I hope they can become a huge band. Their style is alternative pop, so it is not an easy to get songs to radio and TV.
