Groundies is a fun and popular game played by school age children where one player is it and trying to tag the other players. The person who is it must close their eyes after five seconds when going on the playground equipment. They can have their eyes open while on the ground. If they think another player is on the ground they can call out "groundies" The player that is on the ground while groundies is called out becomes the new it person otherwise play continues until "it" can tag another player.
