TRAILER WEEK 1:The Anabaptist Story Lives On: Keeping Our Collective Memory Alive

Watch a short trailer for the first presentation on our second Virtual Museum & Archive Tour. Tuesday, November 3 at 8 pm EDT, Archivist Conrad Stoesz from the Mennonite Heritage Archives (Winnipeg) will explore context, content and connection as he reflects on why archiving is important. During his presentation, Conrad interviews Andrew Wall, a documentary filmmaker. Andrew accessed the Mennonite Heritage Archives to tell the story of 2000 Mennonite refugees who were trapped in post-WWII Germany and desperate to escape to a new life in North America. Conrad will also demonstrate how archivists create ways to navigate a vast amount of materials to find a needle in a haystack or a secret code in an 1852 diary.
