Karnataka Gifts Trained Elephants To Andhra Pradesh To Tackle Wild Elephant Attacks

Karnataka is gifting four trained elephants to Andhra Pradesh to help manage wild elephant attacks. The elephants, selected from Dubare camp in Kodagu and Sakrabailu camp in Shivamogga, will assist in driving wild herds back into forest limits. Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is in Karnataka to receive the elephants. Mahouts will accompany the elephants for over a month to help them acclimatize to their new environment.
