A teaser promo for a proposed TV series telling the life of Mary Read who most people know as one of two famous female pirates from the Golden Age. Along with Anne Bonny and Calico Jack she terrorised the waters of the West Indies.

Mary Read spent most of her life dressed as a man. She went from being a foot boy to a sailor, foot soldier, cavalry soldier, a wife, an inn keeper, a soldier, a sailor, a pirate, a prisoner. A fascinating life that I believe deserves to be told. This promo was to help promote the idea to a big studio or TV network.
