The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM II is my most used lens on a wedding day. Since 2016, I have used it on my Canon 5D Mark IV. I use it for detail photos, venue photos, candid photos, group photos, first dances, sparkler send offs, and so much more. It has super fast AF, is perfectly sharp, and has great color and contrast. In this video, I show some sample photos and videos of its bokeh and sharpness. I compare the EF 35mm f/1.4 USM II to the RF 35mm f/1.8 STM. If you are a wedding or portrait photographer using a Canon DSLR, you definitely need to consider this lens!
