Through a “relative” collaboration, Maddonna Rosas and Pau Ortiz were able to fashion a song that relates to offering and dedicating oneself willingly for a divine purpose.

Business-driven “Dhoe”, as what Maddonna is fondly called, wrote the lyrics fluidly one night after she humbly asked God for a song then Pau as the singer-instrumentalist cousin in the family added melodies on 6/8 for their song, “Alay Ko”.

As ASOP’s finalists for Year 8, both of them are grateful for the opportunity to showcase their familial musicianship to a larger platform seen worldwide.

Award-winning artist Brenan Espartinez interpreted their song “Alay Ko” during the weekly and monthly match and will take on the New Frontier Theater stage on Grand Finals Night.
