How to start fish farming in Zimbabwe

Agrimarine Solutions is improving Aquaculture in Zimbabwe through empowering of women, Youths, and those in rural areas.

Fish farming can be practiced in earthen ponds, concrete ponds, dams, tanks or cages. With little resources, one can start fish farming and become successful.

We introduced contract fish farming in 2016, whereby we provide farmers with resources in partnership with banks and the government. We provide technical assistance, in the form of project management and periodically assessments.

Once the farmer is ready to harvest his/her fish, we assist on harvesting, logistics on transporting them and the cold chain. We then buy those fish from farmers and distribute to our fish shops and other supermarkets.
