'Delirious' became an HBO special and Murphy's first feature stand-up film. It was also released as an album, titled Eddie Murphy: Comedian, which won a Grammy for Best Comedy Album at the 1984 Grammy Awards.

Eddie Murphy reportedly is close to signing a big deal with Netflix for a series of comedy specials. He will also host Saturday Night Live in 2020. He'll be back as Prince Akeem in Comming To America 2.
